Plagiarism Policy
JEMS upholds strict standards of academic integrity and does not tolerate plagiarism in any form. Plagiarism includes verbatim copying, inadequate citation, self-plagiarism, and paraphrasing without attribution.

JEMS uses Turnitin for similarity checks and adheres to HEC guidelines:

  • Total similarity index must not exceed 19%

  • No single source should exceed 5%

Detected misconduct may result in:

  • Rejection or retraction of the manuscript

  • Author blacklisting

  • Notification to the authors' affiliated institutions

JEMS follows COPE guidelines for addressing all forms of academic misconduct, including citation manipulation and data fabrication.

AI Usage Policy
AI tools cannot be credited as authors, per COPE recommendations. Authors must fully disclose any AI usage in manuscript preparation, such as:

  • Language refinement

  • Image generation

  • Data processing

The accuracy, validity, and ethical compliance of all content remain the sole responsibility of the authors. Misuse of AI leading to ethical violations (e.g., false data, fabricated citations) will be subject to editorial action as per COPE protocols.

By submitting to JEMS, authors affirm the originality and integrity of their work and compliance with these policies.
